An opportunity has arisen within an established Basingstoke based client for an experienced Payroll Administrator to undertake an end to end payroll position.
Working within a small and friendly payroll team, responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator will include:
- Processing all information onto the payroll system, including starters and leavers
- Managing multiple monthly and weekly payrolls
- Producing/issuing employee documents such as payslips, HMRC forms, pension notifications etc
- Dealing with payroll and pension related queries
- Producing payroll reports
To be considered for the position of Payroll Administrator, it would be desirable to have up to date experience of running a full end to end payroll including pension contributions and salary sacrifice schemes. Knowledge of statutory forms such as P45s and P11Ds would also be desirable however some training can be provided. A professional and discreet manner coupled with strong communication skills is desired.

Sheridan Maine is working in partnership with a well-established professional services organisation based in Essex to recruit an experienced Payroller to join their growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled payroller Essex based professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery across a diverse client or internal portfolio.
As a Payroller, you will be responsible for the full payroll lifecycle, including:
- Processing end-to-end payroll on a monthly/weekly basis
- Managing starters, leavers, and payroll changes
- Calculating statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and RTI submissions
- Handling payroll queries efficiently and professionally
- Supporting pension administration and auto-enrolment
- Reconciling payroll reports and assisting with month-end processes
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented payroller with:
- Previous experience in payroll within a professional services or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Confidence in handling end-to-end payroll processing
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Experience using payroll systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, ADP or similar)
