Client Accountant - Romanian Speaking | Semi Senior or Senior | Accounts & Tax | Northwest London

Sheridan Maine is working on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice to recruit an experienced  to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with experience in accounts and tax to join a supportive and forward-thinking environment, providing high-quality service to a diverse client portfolio.

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and supporting the delivery of accounting and tax services, including:

• Handling client queries relating to accounts and tax matters
• Preparing accounts up to trial balance stage for review and finalisation
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaising with HMRC where required to resolve account queries or discrepancies
• Reviewing and ensuring completeness of client financial data
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

In addition, and with full training provided where required, you may also be involved in:

• Self-assessment tax returns
• Corporate tax return preparation
• Payroll and CIS processing
• Supporting accounts finalisation work
• Identifying client needs and referring them to specialist teams where appropriate
• Attending client review meetings

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and current tax legislation
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to communicate in Romanian and English
• A proactive and professional approach to client service

Knowledge of areas such as VAT, management accounts, and general tax compliance would be highly beneficial.

Location & Working Pattern

This role is based in northwest London and is office-based, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm.
