FANTASTIC NEW OPPORTUNITY – Logistics Administrator, Birmingham, Up to £28,000 p/a

The Role
Reporting to the Directors, you’ll strive to ensure that the export function runs accurately & smoothly. You will be responsible for dealing with Export clients (both National & International), Logistics & Shipping companies and other stakeholders ensuring effective and influential working relationships are maintained at all times. Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Receiving export orders, liaising with customers, answering order queries, providing purchase orders and delivery timescales.
  • Preparing paperwork for export documentation eg., Sales Contract, Load List, Container Photos, VGM, Packing List & Commercial Invoices.
  • Check availability of products to load once shipping period is agreed.
  • Send shipping advice to customer and request customer requirements.
  • Confident in delivering excellent customer service and in negotiation with shipping carriers.

The Person
The successful candidate will have to possess a strong work ethic and positive communicator, with this role being full-time office based and 8.45am-6pm Monday-Friday. Other essential requirements include:
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Experience in a freight or logistics company and a solid understanding of key export principles and processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude towards identifying risks/issues and seeking solutions.
  • Seeks opportunities for organisational improvement
  • Confident in delivering excellent customer service and in negotiation with shipping carriers.
