Financial Accountant £42k-£47k Coventry (Mostly Remote - In The Office 3 Times a Year)

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be  working  with a large thriving service sector business based in Coventry and South Birmingham. The growth this year has been relentless and to ease the pressure in finance they have come to market. They are seeking a Financial Accountant, a finalist or newly qualified to provide some much needed support to the  excellent dedicated financial accounting team.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounts this role will have responsibility for statutory accounts and VAT for a number of entities in the UK and abroad.

Duties
Manage the Year End statutory accounts. Provide assistance on any financial reporting challenges, year-end processes, dealing with external auditors and the production of year end statutory accounts. This requires knowledge of IFRS

• Production of statutory accounts for multiple entities in the UK and overseas
• Oversee Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with Corporation Tax calculations
• Deliver completed VAT returns for UK and overseas entities
• Provide general support to the financial accounts team
  

• CIMA /ACCA or ACA . Could suit first time mover from practice
• Possess sound knowledge of VAT
• Technically proficient accountant 

• Up to 47k +the flexibility of an almost fully remote role ( in the office 3 times a year or less)
