Sheridan Maine is proud to be recruiting for a reputable not for profit organisation - who are looking for a driven, and self-sufficient individual to join their team in an Accounts Assistant role on a 12-month FTC basis.

About the role
In your role as Accounts Assistant, you will work alongside a friendly Finance team. You will also contribute to the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the Finance team. As well as taking care of office administration, you will handle basic accounting and analytical tasks. Day to day tasks include but are by no means limited to:

  • Completing accuratelyand timely record and process all financial transactions
  • Reconcile the petty cash levels and report any discrepancies
  • Analyseand reconcile all credit/procurement card expenditure on a monthly basis and liaise with budget/card holders to identify and correct any discrepancies
  • Raise Invoices in a timely manner and ensure debtors are chased on a regular basis to minimise debt-collection days and irrecoverable debt
  • Carry out other duties as required by management
Person specification 
Our client is looking for a self-starter with a positive ‘CAN DO’ attitude.  The ideal Accounts Assistant will:
  • Minimum of one year’s Experience in a similar role
  • A passion for Success
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft eg. Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
