Sheridan Maine has an extremely exciting opening for a capable, qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

The Company:
We’re delighted to be working with a huge multinational logistics company on a contract with a household name brand. This is a business with an excellent track record in retaining and developing talented people. They are now seeking a Finance Manager to join the team as a result of an internal promotion, a vital role forming part of the Senior Management Team on site.

The Role:
An extremely fast-paced role, reporting remotely to divisional management and with the support of your Finance Admin Assistant you would work alongside the Site Manager, HR Manager and the Commercial Manager on a day-to-day basis being proactive in managing costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the site. The successful candidate would be required to undertake the following duties:
• Preparing of internal budgets, forecasts, and corporate plans
• Completion of monthly reporting tasks (e.g., variance analysis)
• Cash flow forecasting
• Contribution of financial element to monthly customer reporting packs and updating KPI packs for internal & external use
• Contract compliance

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Fully qualified (ACMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Experience of working in a high-volume, fast paced environment (ie. manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, etc.)
• Strong communicator - able to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
• Management experience is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of SAP, contract compliance, agency rate cards and union agreements would each be highly advantageous, although none of these are essential for the right candidate.

Salary up to £50k + £4k car allowance + flexible benefits scheme including pension and option to buy/sell annual leave. While you'd probably want to spend a good proportion of your time at the site while you learn about the business, it's expected that this would quickly level out to an average of about 2 days per week on-site, the remainder working remotely. A stable environment in which an ambitious, natural problem-solver with excellent interpersonal skills can flourish!
