In an ever evolving corporate tax landscape, supporting the Head of Treasury and Tax you will maintain primary oversight of corporate tax systems and processes, manage and maintain the associated tax control framework, and drive any necessary changes in processes and procedures to mitigate risk, in order to meet ongoing and future corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare calculation(s) of current and deferred tax provisions, including consideration of recognition and utilisation of deferred tax attributes.
  • Preparation of corporate tax payments on account for UK and ROI.
  • Ensure timely compliance with corporate tax obligations.
  • Manage and maintain the tax control framework for corporate tax processes, and assist with maintenance of effective controls.
  • Assist with the preparation of capital allowances analysis for branches, head office, and distribution in the UK and ROI.
  • Assist, as necessary, with claims for Research and Development Expenditure Credit.
  • Support with the preparation of OECD compliant transfer pricing documentation, including Master File and Local File(s).
  • Oversee the implementation of transfer pricing policies for cross border transactions to ensure compliance (including reviewing cost allocations, allocation keys, etc.).
  • Liaise with colleagues across the business and across different territories in order to ensure compliance with appropriate legislation.
  • Support with the implementation of software solutions (e.g. ERP).
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support withholding tax position(s) taken.
  • Provide ad-hoc "Project" support to the Head of Treasury and Tax 
  • Assist with SAO and CCO compliance.
  • Support the Head of Treasury and Tax with HMRC queries related to the corporate tax return(s).
  • Ensure effective cross-departmental communication and build effective and collaborative relationships both internal and external.
The perfect candidate would have/be:
  • Fully qualified or finalist Tax professional with a Big 4/Top tier background (favour will be shown to candidates who've taken the CTA route)
  • Broad knowledge of corporate tax matters, large multi site business exposure highly desirable
  • Experience with international tax matters, cross-border issues and transfer pricing all preferable
  • Ability to understand and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, able to liaise at all levels
  • MS Excel skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to an ever-changing business
  • Tenacious problem solving skills and a willingness to always be learning in a complex and dynamic environment

The role has a comprehensive package and a salary up to £50,000, car/allowance £4,000, bonus to 15%, healthcare and pension.
