Immediately Available Purchasing/Accounts Manager - Halesowen

Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a dynamic and growing company based in Halesowen who are looking for a Purchasing/Accounts Manager. 

Duties 

  • Coordinating company purchasing activity
  • Finding the right suppliers and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
  • Negotiating prices 
  • Ensuring the products are delivered on time
  • Developing and maintaining an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
  • Proactively identifying and delivering cost saving measures 
  • Establish reliable lines of contact with the Sales Team to ensure that all field purchase orders are accurate
  • Helping to interpret reports and predicting future requirements
  • Pitching improvement ideas to senior management
  • Stock control and budgeting
  • Ensuring efficient parts and inventory management to keep the business operating

Person specification

  • Negotiation
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills
  • Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions

Offer 

Up to £14 p/h for an 8 week period
