Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a market leading service sector  business based in Leicester.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director  your duties will be to oversee the production of accurate relevant and timely management and financial accounts

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead a small finance team providing direction and mentoring


  • Production of comprehensive monthly management accounts pack


  • Accurate Variance Analysis and insightful commentary


  • Analysing financial performance - contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts


  • Budgeting and forecasting


  • Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash


  • Statutory reporting Annual Audit pack presentation and liaison with auditors

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be motivated  to succeed with ambition to help the business thrive  in the future. Requirements include;


  • Qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) (the client may consider Qualified by experience or those working towards qualification.


  • The ideal candidate will be motivated, driven  and ambitious


  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and people management skills


  • Good IT skills with solid Excel knowledge prepared to help out with implementation of new systems


  • Influential and persuasive especially with senior managers
