OMB/Mixed Tax Manager

The Company
Sheridan Maine is partnering with a growing professional services firm in Central London to recruit an OMB / Mixed Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and expanding tax team, working alongside partners and senior management to deliver bespoke tax advice to a wide range of clients.
 
The Role
The OMB / Mixed Tax Manager will provide strategic tax advice to owner-managed and family businesses, working closely with partners and junior team members. You will manage client engagements end-to-end, supervise and mentor more junior staff, and contribute to business development and client relationships. The role also provides exposure to compliance matters and cross-team collaboration across tax and advisory services.
 
Key Responsibilities of the OMB / Mixed Tax Manager:

•  Deliver tailored tax advice to owner-managed and family business clients.
•  Manage client engagements, including review of junior team output.
•  Support compliance work including corporation tax, income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
•  Prepare technical tax analysis and advice for partners and clients.
•  Mentor and develop junior team members.
•  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure holistic tax solutions and effective client service.
•  Assist partners in business development and client pitches. 

 
Skills & Experience of the OMB / Mixed Tax Manager:

•  CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA preferred).
•  Strong experience advising owner-managed businesses.
•  Knowledge of corporate and personal taxes including CT, IT, CGT, IHT, VAT, SDLT.
•  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
•  Experience mentoring junior staff and managing client engagements.
•  Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
•  Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
