Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a well-established, reputable accountancy firm in Chelmsford, Essex to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior.

The role:
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of client engagements, leading audits and preparing financial statements, while supporting and mentoring junior staff. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to a variety of clients and sectors, providing an excellent platform for career progression within a respected firm.

Your responsibilities as the Audit & Accounts Senior will include:

• Leading audit assignments and client engagements from planning to completion.
• Preparing statutory accounts for a diverse client base.
• Reviewing and coaching junior team members.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting compliance and advisory work as required.

The ideal Audit & Accounts Senior will have:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with relevant practice experience.
• Proven audit and accounts experience in a practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused approach.
