Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established, mid-tier accountancy firm to recruit a talented Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager to join their growing tax team. The firm is known for delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, high-growth companies, and owner-managed groups, while maintaining a friendly, collaborative, and commercially minded culture.

Key responsibilities of the Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of compliance and advisory work.
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff.
  • Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients, including group structuring, R&D reliefs, share schemes, and transactional matters.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects such as mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, and due diligence.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
  • Working closely with partners and senior managers to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Skills and experience required to succeed as a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager:
  • ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and relevant accounting standards.
  • Experience managing client relationships and reviewing work prepared by others.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, commercial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
