Financial Controller – Central London
 
Sheridan Maine is proud to be partnering with an esteemed organisation based in Central London to recruit a high-calibre Financial Controller.
 
This is a senior leadership role offering broad responsibility across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, and audit, with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.
 
Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Lead the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, delivering accurate financial insight
• Oversee working capital management, including cash flow and balance sheet control
• Take ownership of statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory filings
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102), and corporate governance requirements
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, processes, and accounting policies
• Partner with senior leadership to provide commercial insight and financial analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements across finance systems and operations

 
The successful Financial Controller:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, audit, and compliance
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and tax (VAT, corporation tax)
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to support strategic decision-making
• Experience improving finance processes, controls, and systems
