Job Description

Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established business in Poole to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who is confident working at both an operational and strategic level. The role will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with day-to-day accounting but also wants to contribute to the wider direction of the finance function.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of financial statements, management reports and records in line with statutory requirements
  • Production of the monthly management accounts pack, including insightful commentary on business performance
  • Oversight of payroll, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time
  • Daily use of NetSuite to manage reporting and financial processes
  • Management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring cash flow is well maintained
  • Carrying out analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Leading on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring variances against plan
  • Supporting and mentoring junior finance colleagues to aid their development
  • Ensuring compliance with tax obligations and assisting with external audit processes
  • Partnering across the business to provide financial insight and promote operational efficiency
 
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Proven background as a Finance Manager (or in a similar finance leadership role)
  • Strong, hands-on experience using NetSuite (essential)
  • Solid understanding of financial management and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Previous experience coaching or developing junior team members would be a plus
