Assistant Accountant

Sheridan Maine is partnering with an innovative, growing business to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting financial analysis and data processing as part of the month-end and reporting cycles
• Assisting with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Preparing clear reports to provide visibility on revenue, orders, and margins
• Raising sales invoices and supporting timely payment collection
• Reconciling costs and ensuring accurate financial records
• Helping with ad hoc projects and wider finance tasks as needed

 
What we’re looking for:

• Ideally studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or qualified by experience)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and spot trends
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to meet deadlines
• Confident Excel user with a good grasp of financial systems
• A proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn
