Sheridan Maine is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead complex audit engagements and manage a high-performing team at an established and ambitious accountancy firm in North London. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base across various sectors and make a significant impact on the firm’s continued success.

You will oversee audit planning, execution, and delivery while mentoring and developing junior managers and audit staff.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through to final reporting.
  • Review and sign off audit working papers and financial statements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities for junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth through business development and client retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects as needed.

What we’re looking for:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with significant experience in audit management.
  • Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards, IFRS, and company law.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using audit software such as CaseWare or similar.
  • Client-focused mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
