"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships." Michael Jordan. Our client, situated in London, is actively seeking a talented Billing Manager on a permanent basis. The chosen candidate will have a diverse range of responsibilities, with the purpose to lead the Billing function and to support the Transactional Finance Manager.
Responsibilities of the Billing Manager will include, but will not be limited to:
Supervise 4 direct reports responsible for producing approximately 1,500 invoices monthly
Raise intercompany invoices for payment
Onboard new clients following internal processes
Oversee the end-to-end RPI price increase process
Fully manage development revenue recognition
Handle stock cost cross-charging and revenue release based on usage
Process month-end revenue accruals, manage deferred revenue, and correct coding errors
Minimise revenue accruals by driving in-month billing with operations
Support finance team queries during month-end
Collaborate with credit control for cash flow management and timely customer payments
Prepare key Balance Sheet reconciliations
Provide support and holiday cover for the Billing team
Assist with internal/external audits
Lead billing automation and standardisation initiatives
Lead process improvement projects and system implementations
Identify opportunities to motivate, train, and develop team members
The successful Billing Manager will require the following skills and experience:
At least 4 years of experience managing a billing/AR team
SAP experience is preferred
Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Deep understanding of the billing function
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present to both subordinates and senior management
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel (must be skilled in VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Familiarity with macros and queries in Excel is a plus
Knowledge of VAT regulations
Previous experience as a billing clerk is ideal
