Sheridan Maine is collaborating with our London-based client to recruit a Finance Officer for a 3-6 month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with expertise in year-end processes. Candidates should have over 4 years of general ledger experience and a strong background in preparing statutory accounts.
 
Your responsibilities as the Accountant will include:

• Addressing audit queries and preparing supporting documents for auditors
• Analysing data to meet audit requirements
• Assisting external agencies with statutory accounts inquiries and preparation
• Providing necessary information for the creation of statutory accounts
• Handling tax-related queries and supporting group tax information preparation
• Preparing consolidation adjustments and acquisition journals
• Creating audit adjustment journals
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation, and assisting in implementing streamlined financial processes and procedures related to statutory accounts

• Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 4+ years of general ledger experience and statutory accounts preparation
• Experience in a Group finance function
• Proficient in creating, analysing, and interpreting financial data
• Proven experience working within a senior team
• Familiarity with Workday and Salesforce is desirable
