Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business in Bournemouth and Poole area, who are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the business.
As Production & Cost Accountant you will play a pivotal role in the core Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. With primary responsibility for the accounting and reporting with a focus on their Production Division. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual eager to make an impact and provide essential support.
Core Responsibilities:
Partnering with department leads to drive business performance
Provide financial support to the Finance Director and the Production Team
Control and reconcile production records to ensure accuracy and completeness
Production of weekly reports
Review weekly costing reports, including key production KPI's
Prepare and update costings, bills of materials as well as conducting systems reviews
Deliver robust and insightful performance and business information to the Commercial Finance team
Skills and experience required as Production Accountant:
Manufacturing or FMCG production experience
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent
Advanced Excel skills
Proficiency with stock and batch control, and yield management systems
Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
Able to work independently and take initiative with the ability to adapt to a fast moving and evolving business
