Sheridan Maine are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a fantastic group reporting team.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern of 4 days working from home and 1 day in the office. Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:
Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT control accounts. Manage submission, payments, and handle related queries.
Monthly journal review process.
Supporting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of all the groups entity VAT returns.
Day to day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system.
Preparing budgets and forecasts.
Identifying opportunities for improvements.
The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should possess the following skills and experience:
Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or studying.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships across the business.
A collaborative and solution oriented mindset.
Advanced Excel skills and good all round IT knowledge.
Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
