We’re delighted to work with our esteemed client in Bournemouth, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their Cash Team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months.
 
As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the precise recording of incoming money movements. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Cash Manager in meeting bank reconciliation deadlines while striving to reduce the number of unreconciled lines. This role offers a dynamic mix of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility and autonomy in your schedule.
 
Your responsibilities as the Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Assist in bank reconciliations for a portfolio of bank accounts to meet established deadlines.
  • Investigate and clear down unreconciled bank reconciliation items.
  • Process Direct Debit Payments postings.
  • Action credit card refunds.
  • Run daily cheques banking.
  • Check daily bank balances.
  • Perform internal and external money transfers via banking portal.
 
To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant, you will require the following skills:
  • AAT2 qualified would be preferable or qualified by previous experience.
  • Previous experience in preparing multiple bank reconciliations to strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant accounting software.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
