Sheridan Maine, on behalf of our esteemed client based in Dorchester, is currently seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of financial activities and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role include:
Provide comprehensive support across the finance team, encompassing various areas such as tax matters (including corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, and consideration of overseas tax triggers).
Handle carbon footprint reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Monitor and hedge foreign currency exposures to mitigate risks and optimise financial performance.
Conduct financial assessment and analysis of suppliers to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
Manage the processing of expenses and journals accurately and efficiently.
Assist with various audits and statutory reporting requirements.
Evaluate the impacts of changes in Accounting Standards on the business and recommend appropriate actions.
Assess current tools and processes for development to enhance the efficiency of the finance function.
The successful Financial Accountant will require:
Qualified /part-qualified /studying /QBE.
Good basic understanding of tax regulations.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
