Sheridan Maine are working closely with a growing business based in Poole who are keen to secure a Finance Manager for the business.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Finance team, managing team members, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will be accountable for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting and budget analysis, as well as cash flow and risk management, which necessitate strong analytical and commercial skills.

Reporting to the CFO you'll work closely with the Senior Management Team to increase the Company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the medium and long-term financial plan.

Your responsibilities as the Finance Manager will include:

  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts and assist with the preparation of statutory Accounts.
  • Produce financial statements including P&L, cashflow, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Ensure Tax compliance and complete all tax returns as required.
  • Management and approval of the monthly payroll.
  • Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.  Collaborate with external auditors to manage the annual audit.
  • Manage the cash flow and conduct P&L cost analysis.

The successful Finance Manager will possess the following experiences and skills:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, Qualified by Experience or Studying.
  • Proven experience working as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and proficient using accounting software.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills.
