We're excited to announce that Sheridan Maine is partnering with a London-based organisation to recruit a Project Accountant on an interim basis, offering a day rate of £350. This position involves delivering accounting assistance to the team, which includes overseeing intercompany positions, and evolving into a crucial business partner across the finance departments.
 
This role entails being present in the office three days per week, with the flexibility of working remotely for two days. The successful candidate should possess prior proficiency in SAP.
 
Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:

  • Assist in monthly reporting for Treasury and Corporate Revolving Credit Facility entities, ensuring adherence to group timelines, local GAAP, and IFRS. Conduct reconciliations and prepare management accounts with commentary
  • Support Intercompany Accountant in recording and reconciling intercompany transactions with regional finance teams
  • Aid in the annual audit of the company’s Treasury and Corporate RCF entities, ensuring compliance with group controls and deadlines
  • Support and drive process improvements initiatives

The successful Project Accountant will require the following knowledge and experience:
  • Degree and/or qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA
  • Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, particularly in resolving intercompany discrepancies and balancing balance sheets
  • Strong emphasis on control with the ability to adapt or establish processes for operational effectiveness
  • Familiarity with the SOx framework and its application, including control development and implementation
