Our Bristol-based client is actively in search of a Finance Business Partner to join their team for a 9 month Fixed Term Contract. The chosen candidate will assume the responsibility of providing precise and timely management information reporting, as well as contributing to the delivery of exceptional services.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner include:

  • Lead financial management and reporting, collaborating with departments on strategic planning, budgeting, and financial modelling
  • Support budget holders with proactive financial insights to optimise resource management
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly accounts reporting to trustees, senior management, and student groups
  • Promote financial awareness through regular meetings, offering advice, rectifying inaccuracies, and supporting decision-making
  • Present monthly reports at meetings and contribute to annual statutory accounts preparation
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance services and contribute financially to organisational projects
  • Provide costings and financial advice to senior management and student leaders
  • Facilitate information exchange between the organisation and finance team for effective communication
  • Conduct financial training
  • Manage the general ledger structure, budget-holder lists, and ensure accurate payroll during holiday cover

The successful Finance Business Partner will require the following knowledge and experience:
  • Certified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Extensive experience in monthly and year-end accounting
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software
  • Solid grasp of financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Skilled in managing diverse stakeholders, especially at a senior level
  • Proactive self-starter, adept at handling multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker aligning financial goals with business objectives
