Sheridan Maine are partnering with a leading business based in Weymouth to recruit for a Finance Assistant with a strong commercial awareness to support their finance function.  The business has undergone dramatic change and expansion recently, with further plans for growth.
 
We seek an individual who is results-driven, possesses robust communication skills, and excels in building relationships across all levels of the organisation. This individual should demonstrate the capacity to thrive under pressure and adapt swiftly to evolving demands within a fast-paced, dynamic, and customer-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:  

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior management.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with the monthly management accounts.
  • Processing month end journals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Managing fast changing priorities.
  • Driving improvements which will streamline and simplify reporting requirements.
  • Supporting the finance function by ensuring that all financial data is processed efficiently and accurately.
 
To be considered for the role of Finance Assistant, you should be studying towards the AAT qualification, be passionate and detail orientated, with experience in a similar role along with strong Excel skills.
