We have an exciting opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client’s team in Birmingham on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will support the AP team in maintaining an efficient AP function by establishing supplier connections, promptly addressing inquiries, processing invoices, and ensuring on-time payments aligned with payment terms.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk include but not limited to:

  • Process invoices according to departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain the AP inbox and respond to enquiries.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Maintain an organised filing system for all invoices.
  • Perform any necessary ad hoc analysis and generate reports as directed by the AP Supervisor.
  • Provide coverage across various finance departments during peak months of the year
 
The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will require the following skills and experience:
  • Familiarity with Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus, though not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume work environments.
  • Methodical and highly attentive to details.
