Sheridan Maine are working closely with an engineering and manufacturing client based near Wimborne, who are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join the business. As their Senior Management Accountant you will take ownership of the month end process, working in partnership with the finance team and supporting the Financial Director in the smooth running of the finance function.

Key areas of responsibility: 

• Leading the month end process, including preparation of all monthly statutory requirements, including UK VAT Returns and VAT & Intrastat
• Working closely with the rest of finance to assist in the consolidated monthly management accounts
• Reconciliation of inter-company balances and preparation of journals
• Reviewing multi-currency cashflows and cashflow forecasting 
• Preparation and submission of sales revenue forecasts
• Preparation of monthly payroll journals
• Assist the external auditors to ensure that all annual statutory reporting is completed
• Able to work independently as well as working as part of the finance team 
• Assist with any adhoc finance projects 

• Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent 
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment in a similar position
• Prior experience of working in an international organisation would be desirable
• Proactive and problem solving attitude
• The ability to work collaboratively as a Business Partner with other areas of the business 
• Strong Excel skills and competent in other Microsoft Office applications
