Sheridan Maine is thrilled to represent our well-established client based in the Reading area in their search for a qualified, technically strong Accountant to undertake a Group Financial Accountant position. This is a key role in the finance team focussing on achieving excellence in external reporting standards. 
 
Responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant include:

• Lead the preparation of reporting in line with standards.
• Foster collaboration with key stakeholders, offering expert guidance on financial reporting requirements.
• Utilise strong technical accounting and reporting skills to deliver high-quality financial documentation.
• Build best practice processes and procedures around external reporting.
• Develop to be a subject expert and advise stakeholders on reporting requirements.
• Key contact for external bodies and the audit.
• Support ad-hoc projects and a range of other duties.

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant.
• Ideally experienced in Group financial accounting.
• Excellent technical accounting and reporting skills.
• Strong familiarity with financial reporting systems.
