Job Details
Sheridan Maine is collaborating with a well-established manufacturing business located on the outskirts of Christchurch to recruit for a Finance Assistant, who will play a pivotal role in handling day to day accounting transactions.
This role offers the opportunity for study support.
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following key tasks:
Processing a significant volume of purchase ledger invoices
Supplier statement reconciliations and addressing supplier queries
Matching invoices with purchase orders
Processing weekly supplier payment runs
Petty cash reconciliation and journal posting
Sending customer invoices, updating statements and processing receipts
Managing daily bank postings, conducting monthly bank reconciliations, including multi-currency
Fixed Asset additions/disposals/depreciation
Assisting with month end tasks
Balance sheet reconciliations
To be considered for the role of Finance Assistant, candidates should possess the following attributes:
Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
Previous experience in a similar accounting position
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
