A FTSE plc with a group head office based in central London is seeking a practice trained, recently qualified accountant for a Financial Controls Accountant role. Working as part of a newly formed team supporting the implementation and delivery of a robust controls environment across the business, the key deliverables of the Financial Controls Accountant include:-

• Programme management of the internal control roadmap.
• Reviewing processes and delivering control enhancements.
• Providing second line of defence assurance of financial and operational controls.
• Owning the Document of Controls, including monitoring of identified actions.

The ideal candidate is likely to be a recently qualified accountant with experience of audit / controls / SOX work in a large corporate gained ideally in practice or from a similar role in industry.

The role will be high profile working across the business and interacting at a senior level with both financial and operational teams which will provide an excellent platform for future career development opportunities within the company.

You must be able to travel to central London at least 3 days a week with occasional travel to other office locations across the UK.
