A large plc based near Portsmouth is recruiting a Financial Accountant to support a key accounting area focusing on best practice, process improvement and financial controls. The company offers hybrid working of 2 days office / 3 days home working and is easily accessible by road and public transport.
 
The main responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
 

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reviewing capex spend and monitoring against forecasts.
• Providing technical advice and support to the business.
• Working with the business both in the UK and abroad ensuring compliance with statutory, company and audit requirements.
• Aiding in the development of accounting policies and controls.
• Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations.
• Collaborating across finance and the business on best practice initiatives.

• Be a newly / recently qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• Possess good financial / statutory accounting knowledge.
• Have previously worked in large organisations.
• Be an excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
