Sheridan Maine is pleased to represent our esteemed client, a leading recruitment agency based in Luton, in their search for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant.
 
About the Role:
As a Part-Qualified Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance function while working towards your full accountancy qualification. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who possesses a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally at AAT Level 3 stage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for finance, excellent analytical skills, and preferably, previous experience in the recruitment sector.
 
Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant, will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts at board level.
  • Posting of journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll journal etc.
  • Budgeting and forecasting activities to support business decision-making.
  • Responsible for the balance sheet including reconciliation.
  • Processing monthly payroll for corporate staff.
  • Day to day management of Accounts Payable.
  • Accurate and timely reporting to parent company.
  • Preparation of stat and HMRC returns – VAT, PAYE, PSA, P11D etc.
  • Lead the statutory audit.
  • Ad hoc reporting to the board of directors.
  • Providing financial support to various departments within the organisation.
 
To be considered for the position of Management Accountant, you will require the following:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • AAT Level 3 stage or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
