As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company. You will work closely with the Director to provide valuable insights and support in strategic decision-making. To be considered for the role of Financial Controller, you will require:
- Take ownership of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring the company's financial health is maintained and improved.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement improved business information so profit can be identified down to the individual project level.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Review the current accounting package and assess whether fit for purpose long term.
- Collaborate with the Director to provide financial insights and recommendations, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a true business partner across all business functions, being a point of contact between finance, the Director and the wider company.
- Ad-hoc project support for business growth.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in financial leadership roles, with a strong understanding of the service sector.
- Strong analytical skills, with a track record of providing valuable financial insights to senior management.
- Expert in finance systems, processes and apps such as Xero.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead teams.
