Sheridan Maine is pleased to represent our esteemed client, a leading organisation in the Leisure and Event sector based in Southampton. Our client is known for its high-profile events and exceptional experiences, and they are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager.
 
As a Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in the organisation by taking sole responsibility for all aspects of payroll and administration. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations, and effective administration of payroll-related tasks.
 
Your responsibilities as Payroll Manager, will include:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and deductions
  • Ensuring accurate and on-time payment of employee salaries, bonuses, and commissions
  • Handling payroll tax and compliance matters, including year-end reporting and tax filings
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Collaborating with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate employee records
  • Staying up to date with payroll legislation and regulations
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
  • Generating payroll reports and analysis for management as needed
  • Absence monitoring
  • Participation and leadership on projects to continuously improve current system
  • Input into Payroll budgeting and forecasting process
  • Maintain new Payroll system including ongoing development of system to meet company requirements
 
To be considered for the role of Payroll Manager, you will require:
  • 4-5 years of experience in payroll
  • Excellent Excel skills – pivot tables/vlookups/ Macros a bonus
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
