Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking business based in Bedford, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. This is a brand-new role created to provide crucial support to the operations team, with a particular focus on assisting Project Managers in achieving their objectives. Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and project performance
  • Responsible for smaller project costs, ensuring that all costs and benefits are robustly calculated
  • Support in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts
  • Help identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Engage in ad-hoc financial projects as required
 
To be successful in the role of Management Accountant, you should possess:
  • Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA or ACMA)
  • Proven experience in Management Accounting or Finance Business Partnering role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to working in a Project Led business would an advantage but not essential
