Our client is a market leader in its industry, renowned for delivering high-quality products and services to customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Indirect Tax Manager with fluency in German to join its dynamic team.
 
Due to a tax team restructuring, expanding cross-border transactions base and with increasing compliance requirements, this position has been created.
 
Responsibilities of the Indirect Tax Manager will include:

  • Ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations in the EMEA region
  • Actively support Sales teams on bid management process, helping them with designing a compliant and tax effective cross border supply chain
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of the G2 transition project by supporting NEC with relevant expertise
  • Project manage and provide tax support on various M&A’s, divestments or expansions projects
  • Work closely with Logistics and Supply Chain managers in and outside UK, guide and support them to make sure the supply chain is compliant from tax perspective in SAP and from reporting perspective
  • Develop, maintain, and refine tax-related processes to streamline tax reporting and compliance
  • Assume the role of a SAP expert responsible for comprehending tax coding intricacies and providing training sessions to empower AP and other teams in navigating tax-related processes efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing Indirect Tax advice where required
  • Proactively manage and lead projects and opportunities to minimise tax cash
  • Develop and improve tax control procedures for Indirect Tax (i.e. VAT, State tax, Sales tax etc)
  • Continuously monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage indirect tax audits and inquiries, working closely with tax authorities as required
  • Liaise with external tax advisors to optimise indirect tax strategies and minimise tax risks
  • Manage and mentor Indirect tax team and support Senior Tax Managers where possible
 
The successful Indirect Tax Manager will require the following skills and experience:
  • Fluency in both English and German is essential for this role
  • ACCA/ACA with post qualification experience in Indirect Tax team of at least 5 years
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and its integration with indirect tax processes 
  • Indirect tax experience gained in an in-house role or at big 4’s
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and can easily adapt to changing business and organisational realities
 
Hybrid working model: 1-2 days per week office-based in South Ruislip, and the remainder worked remotely from home.
