We are delighted to announce that Sheridan Maine has formed a partnership with a renowned facilities organisation to acquire a highly skilled Management Accountant for their growing team based in Calne, Wiltshire.  This is an office based role with potential for a hybrid work arrangement after a successful probation period.
 
In this position, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller and playing a direct role in supporting the strategic operations of the Finance team during an exciting period of growth, whilst occasionally stepping in for the Finance Controller.

Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:

  • Assisting members of the finance team in transactional processing as business volumes increase to obtain a detailed knowledge of the activities, in order to facilitate the automation/improvement of current practices to fully leverage the capabilities of the Sage200 software
  • Provision of financial management information to the Board and Managers
  • To provide managers with appropriate cost management information on a regular, monthly, and ad hoc basis as required
  • Assist in the preparation of annual trading budgets and any longer-term forecasts for Group companies
  • Maintenance of spread sheet models and databases
  • To assist with the preparation of year end accounting/audit files
 
The successful Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Must be progressing towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Must have experience in the use of financial systems (including Sage) and reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports)
  • Must be able to demonstrate track record of academic achievement
  • Must have a proven ability to successfully adapt to new systems
  • Must have experience of implementing automated accounting procedures
  • Must have excellent Excel skills - macros, Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience in manufacturing environment is desired
  • Experience of Sage200 is desired
