Are you a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant looking for a new opportunity? Sheridan Maine is partnering with a leading organisation based in Birmingham to find a talented individual to join their finance team. This is an exciting role that offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to make a significant impact within the organisation.
 
Your responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop robust financial plans
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, presenting complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Participate in financial projects and process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and provide financial guidance on key projects.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as required
  • Manage a team to ensure all day-to-day activities are carried out accurately and on time
  • Process the company payroll
  • Review and authorise the weekly payment run ensuring suppliers are paid on time
  • Lead and manage the Finance Risk Register to ensure all risks are considered, reported, and mitigated monthly
 
What you will need to be considered for the Management Accountant position:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
