Our client, a world-renowned research and technology organisation, has approached Sheridan Maine to recruit a Financial Accountant to their Southampton office. Hybrid working with a mix of office and home working, as well as flexible hours are available for this role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will oversee a small team of 4 accounts assistants and administrators – some previous staff supervisory experience would be highly advantageous. The job holder will have a key focus around the accounts payables and receivables process to ensure that the team process all transactions in an accurate and timely fashion.
The organisation has a focus on continuous development so is seeking someone with this ethos who will look to continuously evolve systems and financial processes and who will collaborate with colleagues to deliver on cross functional improvements.
The ideal candidate will be Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) although a latter stage studier would also be considered. A proven ability to streamline processes and to utilise systems, including an above average capability in Excel, would be highly desirable. Prior exposure to managing the Accounts Payable and Receivables process would definitely be an advantage.
