Accounts Receivable Assistant (6 mth-Fixed Term Contract) £26-£30K per annum + Excellent Benefits

This an exciting opportunity for a capable Accounts Receivable Assistant to join on a 6-month FTC basis, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be joining a talented team of finance professionals and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, focusing on supporting the Accounts Receivable team.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Assistant will include, but are not limited to:

  • Raising new accounts, Direct Debits & BACS
  • Raising invoices and credit notes
  • Checking invoices and sending to customers
  • Assisting with the running of direct debit payments
  • Maintain relevant Excel spreadsheets for control purposes
  • Assist in dealing with queries from DPWS/CNS customers where needed
  • Support the current Account Clerks in times of absence
Required Experience:
  • Demonstratable experience working within Accounts Receivable
  • Knowledge of accounts procedures
  • Experience using BACS, Oracle and/or Maximo would be desirable
  • AAT preferred
  • Experience of working in a similar fast-paced varied role
  • Accuracy and attention to details
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent organisational skills. Attention to detail & meticulous
  • Good at working within a team, but also using one’s initiative
