This role will be expected to take the lead in ensuring controls for systems for unusual or higher risk activities such as external access and higher risk processes.
 
Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager include:

  • Develop, maintain and improve various management systems
  • Implement and assist with internal and external audits
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company's adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Inspect and evaluate the existing IT systems, management procedures, security protocols and controls to develop a good understanding of the organisations IT systems so that all important elements of the organisations cyber security can be evaluated and improved
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective compliance controls and processes
  • To ensure all relevant documentation and reports are completed in line with company standards and classification
  • Investigate and respond to compliance-related incidents, including the identification and mitigation of risks
  • Oversee and coordinate responses to personal data breaches and incidents
 
The successful Compliance Manager will require the following skills and experience:
  • Industry recognised accreditations or courses (CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar) or QBE
  • Experience of maintaining and improving a management system
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to drive new policies for security behaviours
