Sheridan Maine is excited to join forces with an educational trust in search of a Finance Assistant to join their team at their site in Smethwick. This opportunity is ideally suited for individuals with an accounts payable/transactional background who are seeking a fresh and diverse challenge in their career.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Paying outstanding invoices
  • Sending out BACS remittances
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing with enquiries from the Finance team
  • Managing petty cash
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Credit card transactions coding and reconciliation
  • Conducting a range of administrative tasks
  • Assisting with the preparation of the budget packs
  • Assisting with the preparation of the year end file
  • Sending out invoices and chasing debts
 
The successful Finance Assistant will require:
  • Effective organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
