Sheridan Maine is excited to join forces with an educational trust in search of a Finance Assistant to join their team at their site in Smethwick. This opportunity is ideally suited for individuals with an accounts payable/transactional background who are seeking a fresh and diverse challenge in their career.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
Paying outstanding invoices
Sending out BACS remittances
Dealing with supplier queries
Reconciling supplier statements
Dealing with enquiries from the Finance team
Managing petty cash
Processing staff expenses
Credit card transactions coding and reconciliation
Conducting a range of administrative tasks
Assisting with the preparation of the budget packs
Assisting with the preparation of the year end file
Sending out invoices and chasing debts
The successful Finance Assistant will require:
Effective organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail
