Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner an award-winning Hospitality Group to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst into its team.  As the Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success and supporting the strategic decision-making process within the organisation. Working closely with the finance and operations teams, you will be responsible for analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights to optimise performance and profitability.
 
Your responsibilities as the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will include:

  • Perform financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support, insight and independent challenge to assess key decisions and drive key strategies and initiatives
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on budget vs. actual results
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance leadership team
  • Support the implementation of new reporting system
  • Accountable for data transfers, system loads and reconciliations of budget/forecast/actuals data across a range of platforms
  • Support the team with month-end processes
 
What you will need:
  • Part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a desire to become fully qualified
  • Proven experience as a Finance Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional, or similar role
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience of using PowerBI and other forecasting tools desirable
 
The initial induction and onboarding process will primarily occur at the office, although our client is open to considering applications for hybrid remote working in accordance with their flexible work policy.
