Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering a long-established Financial Services organisation based in the heart of Bristol who are seeking a talented finance professional to join them as the Financial Reporting Manager. Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager include but are not limited to:
Prepare the consolidated statutory financial statements
Advise on accounting treatment and disclosures to audit standard under FRS102 (UK GAAP)
Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure appropriate records are kept for the annual audit of accounts
Assist in the coordination of external audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors
Responsibility of taxation requirements of the business, communicating and coordinating with tax advisers where necessary
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes, enhance data accuracy, and drive efficiency
Review monthly staff and pension payrolls
Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with evolving guidelines
Undertake ad hoc analysis work as necessary
Provide absence cover for the Head of Finance
The successful Financial Reporting Manager will require the following skills and experience:
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA 3 years PQE) with proven track record of financial accounting in the financial services sector
Demonstration of strong influencing skills and in managing relationships
Management skills to lead and inspire colleagues
