Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering a long-established Financial Services organisation based in the heart of Bristol who are seeking a talented finance professional to join them as the Financial Reporting Manager.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable business which offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, where individuals are encouraged to grow both personally and professionally.
 
Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare the consolidated statutory financial statements
  • Advise on accounting treatment and disclosures to audit standard under FRS102 (UK GAAP)
  • Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure appropriate records are kept for the annual audit of accounts
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors
  • Responsibility of taxation requirements of the business, communicating and coordinating with tax advisers where necessary
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes, enhance data accuracy, and drive efficiency
  • Review monthly staff and pension payrolls
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with evolving guidelines
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis work as necessary
  • Provide absence cover for the Head of Finance
 
The successful Financial Reporting Manager will require the following skills and experience:
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA 3 years PQE) with proven track record of financial accounting in the financial services sector
  • Demonstration of strong influencing skills and in managing relationships
  • Management skills to lead and inspire colleagues
