Our client is an established business based in Hounslow, and they are currently seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with various finance-related tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:
Ensure invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure all supplier invoices are coded and posted to the relevant cost centres
Review and process payment runs
Monthly supplier statements reconciliations
Monthly reconciliation of the company credit card statements
Support the AP clerks in the wider business through training and development
Assist in preparing audit schedules for External Auditors
Optimise the cash position by ensuring a tight control on the payments process. Manage cash flow to ensure cash surplus to meet all financial & cost commitments
Review all BACS to ensure payment within terms
Chase and process credit notes
The successful Accounts Assistant will require the following skills and experience:
Previous experience of working in a senior accounts payable role
Part qualified - preferable
Good communication and interpersonal skills
