Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an excellent Financial Services organisation based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance function.
Duties of the Assistant Accountant include but are not limited to:
Some Purchase Ledger administration
Completion of daily interfacing routine and control account reconciliation, including standing order and branch and agency reconciliations
Processing CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments as required and posting of manual payments to the cash book
Assist the Management Accountant in the production of month end accounts, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
Completion of daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and submit statutory regulatory returns to external governing bodies
Treasury and cashflow monitoring
Support the Finance Director, accountants and CEO when required
The successful Assistant Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
AAT qualified is essential CIMA studier is desirable
Keen willingness to learn and develop in the role with desire to progress
Experience of working in a financial services environment
Ability to work under pressure
The successful Assistant Accountant will receive the following working benefits:
