We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a high growth, profitable business in a construction related business based in the Wolverhampton area. As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in partnering with the wider business to drive commercial performance and support strategic decision making.
Your responsibilities as the Finance Business Partner will include but will not be limited to:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight and analysis to support decision making
Work closely with the senior business team managers to ensure performance is reported accurately
Provide financial support for strategic projects, including business cases and financial modelling
Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes
Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting and analysis
Prepare monthly management accounts, including analysis and explanation of variances, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Analyse financial data to provide insights into business performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and timely submissions
Oversee the management of accruals and prepayments
Prepare capex proposals and secure, where applicable, associated asset finance
Maintain the fixed asset register
Manage and oversee a small Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team
Support Group Finance team with year-end audit including provision of lead schedules and analysis as required
What you will need to be great for this role:
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
Experience of the construction sector (or related services/products)
Strong financial modelling skills and experience working with complex data sets
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Commercially focused, with a track record of driving performance improvements and delivering results
Ability to produce accurate, relevant information in a timely manner
Proactive in problem solving
