Our client, a long-established organisation based in Portbury, is recruiting for a Financial Controller.  The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
 
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:

  • Manage the accounts team and ensure seamless running of the Finance Department
  • Proactively oversee and report on cashflow
  • Ensure checks and balances in place to monitor and report on cashflow in relation to revenue, profit, capital expenditure and working capital movements
  • Lead contact point with external advisors and stakeholders
  • Oversee and drive systems improvements and implementations
  • Support Board in day-to-day issues and growth plans
  • Report Margin variations to Management Team in weekly/monthly formats
  • Presenting Monthly MI and weekly KPI’s as required
  • Lead the annual budget process
  • Control Capital Expenditure to budget and forecasts
  • Keep Board and Business up to date with key legislation changes
 
To be considered for the role of Financial Controller, skills/experience required:
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified accountant (or by experience)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Systems implementation experience
  • Experience of preparing and developing budgets, management accounts and cashflow forecasts
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the significance of work areas outside the immediate function
