A part qualified / qualified Accountant is required by a leading employer in the Portsmouth area on a hybrid working basis of just 2 days a week in the office. They are looking for a candidate who is ambitious and keen to develop their career in a role that will broaden their core accounting experience and allow them to progress in to other areas of finance such as FP&A or financial accounting. The key requirements of the Accountant include:-
Owning the processes and controls for billing, from invoice generation through to reporting and audit compliance
Monitoring Tax compliance and debt reporting
Business partnering with the sales teams providing advice on billings and revenue recognition
Checking all systems have consistent and matching information and inconsistencies are resolved
Ensuring revenue recognition is in line with accounting standards
Supporting the management of team and deputising for the manager in their absence
The ideal candidate will be a part qualified / newly qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) with relevant experience including revenue recognition and billings.
