A part qualified / qualified Accountant is required by a leading employer in the Portsmouth area on a hybrid working basis of just 2 days a week in the office. They are looking for a candidate who is ambitious and keen to develop their career in a role that will broaden their core accounting experience and allow them to progress in to other areas of finance such as FP&A or financial accounting. The key requirements of the Accountant include:-

• Owning the processes and controls for billing, from invoice generation through to reporting and audit compliance
• Monitoring Tax compliance and debt reporting
• Business partnering with the sales teams providing advice on billings and revenue recognition
• Checking all systems have consistent and matching information and inconsistencies are resolved
• Ensuring revenue recognition is in line with accounting standards
• Supporting the management of team and deputising for the manager in their absence 

The ideal candidate will be a part qualified / newly qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) with relevant experience including revenue recognition and billings.
